Professional Goal
Having recently completed a TESOL Certificate Program at Columbia University?s Teachers College (summer 2011) I feel more prepared to start a career as a professional English teacher in Japan. Though I have previously taught English, in 2006, at a private children?s school in Soka City, Japan I did not then consider education my field of profession. But now, after returning to the Unites States and working as a Teacher?s Aide at special needs school, then in Social Work, and lastly teaching at Columbia University (as part of my practicum for TESOL Certification) I now believe I am better trained to teach High School English in Japan.
