Where to find Free ESL Games?

By Aarti Thomas

The internet today makes it really easy to find ESL games. All you have to do is carry out a search on the internet using the keywords ‘free ESL games’ and you get a list of various sites offering ESL games.

One such site is: http://www.teachenglishinasia.net/ The site offers a database of various ESL games that is classified into several categories to make it easy for you to find the right ESL game for yourself.

The games are broadly classified as to the kind of game and itterms of skills practiced. You have games meant for adults, high school, middle school and elementary school students and games that concentrate on skills like reading, speaking, grammar, alphabet, vocabulary, spelling and listening English games.

These games are listed on the site with a tag. You just click on these tags to access the games associated with the tag. For example, by clicking adult English games, you reach a list of ESL games you can choose and play with your adult students and by clicking on reading games, you choose and play your preferred reading game.

These games are available for free, and can be printed out for your reference needs. However the site requests you to post a comment after trying a game to let others know how you enjoyed the game, and also to give any suggestions if any.

In addition to this, the site also offers a $100 prize to motivate interested people to submit ESL games to the site. Of the many submissions made, one name will be randomly chosen and awarded the prize money through PayPal, Western Union, US bank check, money order, etc. as per your preference. If you are not interested in the prize money, and have good game you want to share with others, all you have to do is follow a link and add your game.
