Objective: Share my passion for teaching while experiencing Japanese language and culture.


Work Experience:

Teaching Intern at Aim High: Created lesson plans under supervision of master teachers for the math curriculum. Instructed the students using a variety of methods including games, ice breakers, and assessment tests. Collaborated with other teachers to provide an enjoyable and enriching curriculum. 6/22/09 to 7/31/09.

Mathematics Tutor at City College of San Francisco: Improved students' understanding of math problems ranging from algebra to calculus. Fortified the students' understanding and encouraged good study habits by following up and building a rapport with individual students. 1/08 to 5/09.

Assistant Manager at Hutch's Car Wash: Hired and ensured the safety of a staff of 50 employees. Provided premium customer service to clients while a fluid operation of all mechanical equipment was maintained. 9/06 to 6/07.

Assistant Manager at Hollywood Video: Organized projects and completed them according to deadlines. Prepared staff schedule and opened and closed store safely. Reviewed applications of prospective employees and conducted interviews. 1/04 to 9/06.

Bookkeeper and Food Clerk at Safeway: Was responsible for high-volume cash and check accounting and customer service. Worked closely with management to deal with customer service issues. 10/02 to 1/04


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at San Francisco State University. 1/04 to 9/06.
