Moving to Japan

I'm interested in moving to Japan. As of now, I'm very limited in my Japanese language skills, but was wondering that if I make the planned move in 3-5 years what would be the best course for me to take? Do you need to have Japanese mastered to teach English in Japan? Also, I seen a degree from a 'University' is recommended.

Would like a 2 year community college thing be okay or are we speaking 4 years? Any particular subject? I thought of doing 4 years accounting, getting CPA certified, then law school. Are American law or accountants any use in Japan? Thank you for your time.

On Moving to Japan

Hi Alex,

You need the university degree to get a decent job here. Study what you are interested in but come with a degree is my advice.

You don`t need to have mastered Japanese to teach
English. It will help in your daily life here of course though.

You need a degree. However long that will take you, you need the degree, and Japanese immigration
wants to see that degree in order to give you
a working visa.

Any particular subject?

No anything you would enjoy studying.

Yes but best to check with some of the firms
by googling them. My specialty is of course
about teaching.

Hope this helps and good luck with your dream!
Japan can be a great place to live and this is an
exciting time.
