Moving to Japan

I'm interested in moving to Japan. As of now, I'm very limited in my Japanese language skills, but was wondering that if I make the planned move in 3-5 years what would be the best course for me to take? Do you need to have Japanese mastered to teach English in Japan? Also, I seen a degree from a 'University' is recommended. Would like a 2 year community college thing be okay or are we speaking 4 years? Any particular subject? I thought of doing 4 years accounting, getting CPA certified, then law school.
