I have taught at a Japanese university since 2006. I also taught at a college in Japan. I think university teaching is interesting. I love the idea exchanges with colleagues, the events that take place, the fun and energy of the students, and even the campus -- which is beautiful. I enjoy teaching classes of 30 students more than small classes of 4-6. There are so many more things you can do in a class of that size.

By doing a lot of pairwork during speaking tasks, the students have the chance to speak often, and by doing group work, they exchange ideas, grow, and learn from each other.

University teaching in Japan is a great job! Plus you get a lot of time of (at my university this is paid time off!)
