Technical Illustrator/Writer/Departmental Supervisor
Scheduling and supervising the work of the Publications Dept., which included myself and two other people. Set deadlines for the department and ensure they were met.
Dealt with all departmental and personnel problems.
Work in both a PC and Macintosh environment using Photoshop, Quark Express, Illustrator, FrameMaker, In Design and Acrobat, designing parts catalogues, owners’ manuals, and repair manuals, as well as various other graphics related projects. This work included creating technical illustrations, manipulating photographs and writing detailed instructions. Also required was the use of scanners and digital photography.
Worked in conjunction with other departments, such as engineering, scheduling, marketing and shipping.
Prepared and distributed all change notifications and field instruction materials.
Worked closely with various printers and translators, understanding the different processes that each implement.
Five years in the marketing department, in which my duties included layout of brochures and maintaining all literature inventory.
Three years on plant safety inspection committee, which continuously searched for better and safer ways for the plant to operate.

Worked with business and government officials to promote the local area to tourists. This included designing brochures, display booths and attending trade shows and promotional courses.

Owned and operated Great White Noise (www.greatwhitenoise.ca) which was dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Canadian independent music. I worked with approximately 200 bands from across Canada, doing everything from reviewing CD’s to helping them set up shows to having them stay at my home as they travelled through (i.e. Allison Crowe).
Former President of the Hartland branch of Lions International.
Published fiction short stories in on-line magazines, as well as non-fiction with national print magazine (Outdoor Canada).
Education 1984 – 1986: Woodstock Community College, Communication Arts.
1982 – Graduated from Nackawic High School.
Interests Music, illustrating, writing and reading.
