To Whom it May Concern:

I am a 23 year old student who is graduating in less than 2 months with a BA in Early Childhood Education. I have a large and growing interest in Japan and have wanted to visit for some time. I think it will be a reward experience both for me and any students I obtain to teach English to young children in Japan. I will gladly teach any age as I have been told by peers I have a way of teaching things that makes sense. I am a native English speaker and I also have high test scores in English grammar and reading. On previous tests taken in high school as well as the Praxis taken in college, English, grammar, and reading were my highest scores.

I believe I would be a valuable asset to any school or company willing to hire me as an English teacher or tutor. In time, I will learn enough Japanese to propel within your company or business as well to teach other subjects. I plan on staying in Japan for a while meaning at least one or two years, depending on where I get hired. This is a very large interest for me and this is the perfect time for me to come to Japan and teach English. In 2 months, October 2011, I will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Ashford University in Clinton, IA in Early Childhood Education. Since the process to move to Japan and work in Japan will take some time, I have decided now is the time to apply, as my lease contract for the house I am renting will expire in March. Therefore, I would like to start working for you in mid-March or in April any time.

Please contact me if you have an interest in getting to know what I can offer your company or school. I assure you, it will not be the wrong choice and you will not regret your choice. I hope that you will help me make my dream come true in making a difference in at least one child’s life. I know if you hire me, I can make a difference in numerous children’s lives and I am greatly looking forward to it. There is nothing like teaching a child something they want to learn so badly, and then having them remember you for that for the rest of their life.

On a final note, I ask one more time that you consider me to teach within your school or company. I will not let you, myself, nor the children of Japan eager to learn English down.

Thank you,

Kendra Trahan
