Evergreen Park Elementary School Brooklyn Center, Minnesota
Instructed 4-5 balanced reading groups on a daily basis using Jan Richardson and Sonday curriculum. Collaborated with other kindergarten teachers to support the students’ language development within the mainstream curriculum. Conducted math intervention lessons using CGI and AVMR strategies. Taught push-in math lessons using Everyday Math and writing using Lucy Calkins’ Units of Study. Assisted the cooperating teacher in conducting an after-school targeted services program for 1st grade students struggling in reading and math.

Anoka High School Anoka, Minnesota
Instructed three 85 minute classes per day, full time for six weeks. Planned and taught three complete units of study. Used mainstream curriculum, including Holt’s Elements of Writing and Elements of Literature, to teach content ESL classes. Used a variety of methods for instruction from in school field trips to realia and media in order to support students of all learning styles.

Provided child care services for elementary students in a public school. Chaperoned students during weekly field trips with other staff members. Enforced school rules with students in order to maintain a safe and organized environment.

Acted as one of six leaders and president for a college club with 40 active members. Co coordinated two school events with guest performers. Co-led large group lessons for peers. Conducted meetings with other leaders and attended meetings with the club supervisor and student council members on a regular basis.
